Winter Trail Grooming

In the Fall of 2018, Allied purchased a Thiokol Imp Snowcat. Interestingly enough, ours was used in several movies, most famously "The Thing".  Even though it was almost 50 years old it did a great job, but it began to show its age so it has undergone a full restoration in 2019 and is ready to continue grooming trails for another 50 years.  We currently have a YTS Roller Groomer with a 96" wide compactor bar and silicone combs.  The benefit of the Thiokol is it is small (84" wide) and lightweight (about 2000lbs with its plow blade) so it can groom smaller width trails.  We also have a snowmobile with a 48" trail drag for even smaller trails.  

Cut TO LEngth Forestry Services

For large areas to be cleared, mulching the trees often is not economical, the best use of the machinery, or the best thing for the soils and grass regeneration.  By working with clients to cut the bulk of the biomass ahead of time using our cut-to-length processing head for the Tigercat feller buncher, we can generate log sale revenue for the client to help offset the cost of cutting and subsequent mulching.  It can also generate a lifetime supply of firewood for a homeowner or be incorporated into maple sugaring operations to release sugar maples and generate log length firewood for boiling.
