Specialty forestry mulching equipment allows us to remove vegetation ranging from small brush all the way up to full trees when other methods are not practical or economical. It also allows us to shred debris and stumps in place without the two step process of cutting and then chipping. The end result is a shredded mulch that lays flat, is cast over a large area, biodegrades, and amends the soil - all while mixing a layer of mulch into the top layer of soil to help control erosion while grasses regrow to stabilize the soil. We currently employ the largest boom mounted mulching head available (UMM-EX VT) from the world leader in shredding and grinding technology, FAE. It is mounted on a Tigercat 822 Feller buncher, one of the legendary workhorses of the forest. And we have partnered with Pete's Equipment in Morrisville, VT and GB Equipment ouside of Drummondville, Quebec for our equipment servicing and sales/distribution of FAE equipment.
Clear Cut RestorationOnce the trees are down, what do you do next? If the goal is to maintain a field or pasture, the stumps and slash need to go. Mulching it is faster, better for your soils, and helps control erosion.

Encroachment ManagementOnce a road, trail or clearing is opened up, the sunlight streams in and things begin growing back in - quickly. Periodic removal of regenerative growth allows for mowing and maintenance.

Trail ConstructionUtilizing mulching and subgrade tilling is a great combination to build, maintain, and improve trail networks.
